Here's me on my CBR1000F.

It's heavy, so am I, and the slightly tuned motor puts out about 135 HP. The new 1000's weigh more than 150 pounds less, and put out 165-180 HP at the crank... stock!
I've been looking at new bikes, but they're either hugely powerful, so much so that you'll never safely approach the bikes limits on the road (most won't even be able to get there on a closed track...), or too small. The new 600's are tiny.
Maybe it's time for me to get a pipe and some slippers, and a BMW.
Anyway, stock Harleys don't put out much horsepower, they're heavy, their brakes suck, and corner clearance is poor, so it's not really that much fun pushing one to it's limits. I cut serious weight off of mine, put on lighter wheels, better brakes, and all new suspension, and it's still more fun to putt around riding the torque at low rpm's than it is to hustle it along. That's what Harleys are built for.
Actually, my wife and I have been talking about getting one of these. We need a bike both of us can ride on comfortably for travel.
