Live cd help..

I can't boot from cdrom on my 8890.. It is the first in boot sequence but it never pops up with a press any key to boot from cd rom.... do I need to disable hdd in boot sequence?

hmmm

Well I have been trying to boot from cdrom with knoffix, but it doesn't give me the press any key to boot from cdrom.

I tried disabling the harddrive but it just goes to the no operating system found screen. cdrom is enabled to. boo

As long as your CD is before your HD in the boot order in the BIOS, it should boot...

Did you buy the KNOPPIX CD from a cheap-bytes type of place or download the ISO and burn it to CD?

Also, if it is an ISO image, make sure you followed the instructions for burning an image (not just burning the .iso file onto CD) - have to ask this one...
