hi there. jz last week, my 4760 started acting weird after i opened it up to clean the processor heatsink. i usually leave my laptop on for 2 days at a time before rebooting btw. lately, when i cold boot, the cpu fan comes on. when i get into windows, the temp is usually around 60 degrees.. which is about normal here. but now, it climbs continuously. the fan kicks in, but only in low speed. the temperature climbs to 83 degrees and whoop, the safety shutdown kicks in shutting down the comp. then i let it cool a lil, and turn it back on, and now, the fans come in on high. and finally, the comp starts acting like normal with an average temp of about 63 degrees. problem is, everytime i turn off the comp for about an hour or so, then turn it back on, the same thing happens... could anyone out there help? what could be the problem? i need to figure out how to keep the fans on high constantly before the heat causes damage to other components... thanks !!!
