Thanks A lot for this guide, Why0Why. I appreciate it.

Also, I found a seller on ebay dumping 745's at 150 bucks a pop. I don't know if it's against the rules for me to post any links or not, but I'm going to go read them now to see if I can. I'll edit if it's allowed.

the torx head grabs much more surface area than a standard Phillips head design. it is just a better design, you rarely strip the head. I don't think its because of trying to keep the average Joe from working on it, torx is a standard fastener style and most people have some

Yeah, that would make sense. After dismantling my laptop twice some of my screws are beginning to go, it's amazing how quickly you can strip the heads if you're not careful.

PPl are just stupid try to make Torce screws, they are too easy to be broken! I got 3 of 4 were broken when i tried to tight them up, what a shame!

what? you over torqued them man, torx are the best, they are designed to break if over torqued.

So is there any way to buy new torx screws to replace those broken ones in my video card?

you might not be able to even get the screws, it might need a new gpu. just be f@@kin careful, you dont need to screw them screws down hard at all, like 12 inch lbs only. its not a bike wheel
