I have tried FF 3.5, IE 6.0, (two diffrent machines) and Opera 9.7 Its gotta be a permissions issue. I'd sign up for a new account but... I only have one .edu email. Everything else is gmail and they get blocked :/

Nah, you don't need another account. Must be something else (what I do not yet know). Are you accessing NBF away from home?

cheers ...

We have another member reporting the same issue as you do. So hold tight, we are onto it.

I doubt it. You Benq supports socket M, and whilst it seems identical to the old 479, it is not "pin" compatible.

is there old m479 and new m479 ? or you mean the new proc will not fit in.
I know you were speaking for 478, but everythin's the same. This night I read the datasheet and think is posible. here is it: http://download.intel.com/design/mob...s/31651903.pdf

thi is what intel says: http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id...ec-codes=SL9VZ

You can say there is a new m479 and old m479

Your comp supports the socket M (new m479?), and the CPU you linked is the "old" m479 - might not work!

I don't suppose anyone here knows how to pinmod the m1710 socket with a t7600 so the fsb runs at 800mhz rather than 667mhz hmmm?

6600 3dMarks05...

Hi there,

I have just pinmodded my i9300 from 1.6 to 2.13 and oced my 7800GTX to 440C1250... yet I can only get 6600 in 3dmarks05 default test...

I have seen posts saying they you can achieve 7000 3dmarks05 with this configuration... do you have any pointers? Maybe it's because of Win7? I also have the latest drivers from laptopvideo2go....

Thanks!

Ray

I would suspect the problem is with Win7 as most of those scores are done on Windows XP.

Hello guys, I have two Dell Inspiron 1300 which originally came with intel Celeron Mobile 1.6 Ghz 1 MB cache, 400 FSB.

It has Intel 915GM chipset, right now Im using a Pentium M 1.6 GHz 533 FSB 2 MB cache.

Should I really switch Pentium M for Celeron M and try the pin mod?

Im not really sure how much cache memory will affect performance.

I have windows 7 home premium, 2 GB ddr2 667 (running @ 200 Mhz ) 160 GB hard drive 5400 RPM.

I mean, the Celeron M running at 2.13 Ghz will make a big diference compared to stock Pentium M @ 1.6 Ghz?

thanks in advance.

PD on Inspiron 1300 is really easy to access CPU socket, since it can be changed almost like ram or hard drive
