Need a notebook - 4lbs

I am desktop user and need a new notebook as my job requires one. I really like the change-when-you-want flexibility of the desktop. Of course I would prefer a similar laptop, but I know technology isnt that advanced now.
I need a notebook thats weighs around 4lbs and has the following specs -

AMD 64bit cpus or P4 1.8Ghz or higher
512MB or higher DDR RAM
40GB HDD or higher
DVD +/-RW
14" or 15"screen
A Good AGP (ATI/nvidia) card that can run wolf - ET with ease.

I would like the price to be around 1500$. Its no big deal if the price is upto 2k$.
I do photo editing, gaming. Thats the reason I need a powerful laptop. I also have to do field work, so portability is a requirement.
Thanks in advance.
Any make other than dell is preferred.
thanks in advance.

There are'nt any P4 or AMD notebooks at that weight range..

But there are lots of very capable Pentium-M's
Asus W3V..

or you could try & wait on the Turions.

not amd64 or p4, but pentium mobile:

14" wxga asus w3v is 4.8lbs, has the x600 64mb video, dual dvdrw, 512mb, 60gbetc. $1899. resolution (1280x800) might not be enough for you.
comes with everything, though, including xp pro and extended warranty.

p.s.. yeah, what miner said

resolution is 1280x768, not 800..true 16:9 not 16:10...on a side note, doesn't anybody know if when playing games that only support the 1280x800 if the W3V can run it anyways? It would really suck not to be able to play games in wide screen because you have 16:9 and not 16:10

dell 700m is 4lbs with the standard battery

btw: you really DON'T want PIV in a notebook anyway, pentium-M is a much much better notebook cpu

you could hook yourself up with a $2000 700m and use the coupon code to bring it down to $1250. but i think the video card is the problem there.

i doubt the dell can run any games, its not a capable machine for any graphically intense app, not even winamp plug ins, hell even a geforce2mx400 is faster than the crappy intel extreme graphics, the Asus W3 is a way better choice

By P4 I meant P4 equivalent.
Isn't the 700m screen just 12"?

The Asus w3v looks really good. Thanks miner and coffee shark.
Any more of these kind?

Btw, what are the turions?

I am leaning towards teh asus because the screen size is larger than the sony.
How about the Fujitsu S7000 series (S7010)?
My roomie has a fujistu 15" laptop. I just luv the fujitsu screens.

just a note the asus is well over 5 lbs with the large battery and optical drive. if 4 is your upper limit the sony s-360 will be much closer due to the smaller screen and such. I believe the asus weights about 5.4 or something with optical drive and 8 cell battery.
