Well, if I considered my 4 desktops in the house plus my two laptops, it would then be well over 500gb.

I have well over 2TB of storage across my various Machines.

My Main Rig has
2x74GB Raptors
4x250GB Hitachi

My Encoding Rig has
4x160 Hitachis

My Wifes Computer has
2x160GB Maxtors

Then my old FileServer/Folding Server has
3x80GB (Various)
1x40GB

Oh and 60GB in my I9300

So all told
2.448 TB

I have every CD/Game/Movie I own stored on one of my HDDs. I am a storage freak, and I constantly Add Storage to my systems.

I think right now, I have around 400GB available.

You have all of those drives filled up?
Most of them Yes. I do a lot of movie Encoding etc.

I think I have almost 700GB of just Game/Program CD Images.
I rip Every DVD Down to a single Disc, and I also encode them all in Divx. That right there takes up a ton of space. Probally 5GB+ /DVD.

I am a Digital Packrat :P

LOL, divx. Been a while since I've dabbled with that. I have over 300 divx/xvid movie collecting dust over here. I got into DVDs in the last year and a half. I have over 175 DVDs, for 752GB. Constantly growing too.

If you count removable media (ie CDs, DVDs, Flash Dives, Ext. HDDs, HDD MP3 players) im sure the average tech guru could have a colossal amount of used file space.

i usually have less than 10gb of my 60gb drive... i download a lot, i keep my laptop on all the time and i store my data on my firewire 400 external 500gb (120gb free left).
funny topic - just yesterday i was lookin for prices of external hdd cause im gonna buy one more 500 gb id like to get the 1,5tb or 2tb drive but cant afford it :P
u may ask = what the hell r u downloading? well i got mainly movies... most of my friends were recording all the data on the cds or dvds and keeping those somewhere in their room, so many many all around the place but i thought its better to get one big drive and thats it
im more than happy with my external drive :-)

For the notebook I use all of it. Right now the top notebook drive is 100gb. I have probably a base for programs of about 40 gigs and databases, VMs, games and movie files will fill up the rest and constantly need to be cleaned up to keep me under 100gb. I also regularly use external harddrives.

On my desktop I have about 750 gigs of space which is mostly used for PVR.

Over 1TB of storage. Video editing takes up a lot of space

Same here I have most of my DVD's ripped directly to the HardDrive.

The main reason I still use Divx is because I have a lot of TV episodes that I xfer back and forth to my Laptop. When I can get 2 1hr Epsiodes of Something on 1CD its worth it.

110gb desktop + 45gb laptop
I thought my 60GB drive would be a little slim, but since I keep this laptop super clean compared to my desktop, I'm only using 36.6GB of space for all of my stuff. I do make home DVDs during the summer, and I would get a massive external drive if I didn't have a desktop to store stuff on.
