All Hail Luke , Bearer Of Good News. Wonder How much the 3880 could pull out of a 3790's 6 cell.

Best Regards

Post #15 In the test you said it was a 12 cell and didn't think a 6 would be out and then in post #15 you said that the 12 cell wouldn't be out.

I think you meant that the 6 cell wouldn't be out right?

I have the 7620 P 4 3.6 with 1 gig, 60 Gig 7200 HDD. What is your opinion of the 3880 compared to the 7620 as far as performance goes. I build web sites, not to complicated, use QBooks, Adobe Photo, and surf.

I've searched and read all over the Intel site but they have no way of comparing this and that against each-other?

Thank you for all you hard work and input.

I've Got My Mind Set On You

Well After Much Thought, I decided The 3880 Sager Would be the way to go. Of course I will first wait for some reviews. Hopefully many people will write.

Battery is really not the nicest thing but I am guessing I won't be looking at the back of the laptop all that often. Plus , since Luke said that the 6 cell option of the 3790 Could fit, I could always have that one on while Plugged in and some 12 cells for long trips away for walls.

The WUXGA ( unfortunately not glossy ) of the Sager looks much better than the Z71V that I began to contemplate. It looks good , swappable HD,DVD Drive and Modular battery is good. But screen Is a must.

And lastly, I think I might have become a Tad bit attached to Sager (PCTorque really). What Do You great Service is Great Service.

Edit: Oh And BTW. The 12 cell makes it a little higher true. But then Again , I have always Put a book below my laptop's rear to elevate it a bit, give it an angle and make it cooler. So The 12 Cell might not be that much of a nuisance.

So Long Sagerites.

What kind of battery life are we talking about with both the 6 and 12 cell battery? This could be my deciding factor!!!

also realize the fact that there are not any 6-cell batteries for sale on the pctorque website.

So which one is better for gaming - 3880 or 4880 (without tweaking)?
Without tweaking the 4880 is, see benchmarks:

http://notebookforums.com/showthread.php?t=80992

3DMark05:
*3880 = 2020 (not overclocked)
*4880 = 2538 (not overclocked)

3DMark05:
*3880 = 2804 (overclocked)
*4880 = 2813 (overclocked)

are these shipping now? anybody received theirs yet?
Luke says via email that the bluetooth option (the bluetooth component) is backordered and if I want my 3880 he can send it but without the bluetooth and then when the component comes in he will send it to me and I can put it on myself.

My question is I thought the bluetooth is in the LCD not a doggle thingy right? How would I attach the bluetooth and would it be better if a klutz like me to wait and have PCTORQUE do for me?
