The Ram stick sits awfully close to the gpu even a little on top of it. How are the idle temps for the gpu and RAM?

Why the heck would you wanna take it apart?? I hope you got it back together properly and everything works normal.

Because of the mystery materials used on 700m. Some said it came with a metal chasis, some said its lcd cover is also metal.

Sure it works well after I put all things back

Just found out that fangui won't report the DIMM and gpu temps for the 700m. Some people have reported that they can feel the cpu heat through the case. I wonder what its temp is. MobMeter should be able to at least report the cpu temp

Are you sure that is the model of the screen? Can you provide a picture of model # to confirm? What model does powerstrip say you have?

My opinion is that you can't go by those numbers found on PowerStrip because they don't mean much...

Why??? You'll ask. I'll give a very good example. The 17" WUXGA+ TrueLife glossy LG LCDs used by Dell for the E1705, M1710 & even 9300 has the name LPL0000 when you use PowerStrip to check for the LCD maker & tell you what... my E1705's WXGA+ matte LG screen also shows LPL0000 when checking for the make/model of the LCD using PowerStrip.... so does that mean that going by that number/letters, it means that WXGA+ (matte) is the same as WUXGA+ (glossy)??? I believe those are just the name of some sort of profile folders for the brand of LCD, where those folders contains the settings or whatever....

It would still be interesting to know whether powerstrip on his machine says the same thing as it says on my machine - that would make it a little more easy to figure out how to deal with these issues..
