Need Help Choosing A Notebook. Please Help

Hey everyone i am currently a college student and my major is computer programming and information systems. I need a notebook that can handle VB and what not. But i also want a notebook that has a good soundcard becuase i would love to bring the notebook with me to the place where i practice with the band and maybe record, i know it will come out crappy but i just want to record so we can get our stuff together. Im looking for a Windows based notebook too. So is there any suggestions on what to get? I'm currently looking at this one.

You can do way better than purchasing a notebook with integrated video card. What's your max spending??
