8790 power problem

I'm having some type of power issue but I don't think it's linked to the motherboard. It seems like some sort of loose 'wire' connection between the lid and rest of the computer. I just noticed a couple of days ago that it would suddenly die when I adjusted the screen by pushing it back past a certain angle (a little past 95 degrees or so). What's strange is that the computer will die on me but the 4 blue lights will remain on. Even though those lights are on nothing I do can turn the computer back on except when I pull the screen forward again then the computer restarts. I'd like to open it up and take a look but is that an area of the computer that I shouldn't be messing with? Should I just request a RMA? Suggestions anyone?

Request an RMA. You might just void the warranty - especially if you short something out.
