Thread Starter
Hey guys I just got THESE speakers from my girlfriend for graduation and man do they sound sweet. I don't even need a subwoofer with them and they match the 9300 perectly and are really small but get really, REALLY loud. Just thought I would let you guys know if you were looking.

How do you connect them? Do you have an external or PCMCIA sound card, or do you just plug them into the headphone jack?

its not that great i returned mine. They connect via headphone jack

Blah...Bose speakers are normally overrated and overpriced.

dude bose sucks

No highs, no lows, gotta be BLOSE.

wow the negativity. so much for kicking a guy in the balls.

For these speakers, Bose only points out that they come with stereo spatial filtering software (which is othewise available as freeware plug-ins from many software makers). They say nothing about other characteristics of these speakers. So you have to wonder, how are they different from a $10 pair of speakers with one small driver each?

My Bose Home Theater is awsome, the trick is with Bose is to wait right before the product line is discontinued then buy them :P

I was unimpressed with those Bose speakers when I was looking for a basic 2.1 system a month or so ago. Even the version with the sub didn't sound that great and for the price you pay for the Bose name, I just didn't see the point.

To each his/her own.

Yeah definately over priced

I prefer logitech speakers - they're cheap and sound excellent.

I just use a 3 disk changer, and plug the subwoofer into that,,,and then I plug the 3 disk changer into my headphone jack, it gets fawking LOUDDDDDDD.

My setup is just 2 x 40 watt speakers, 1x 150 watt powered sub with plastic not waffle cone.

Will Shake a dorm without breaking a sweat!

say what you want about the speakers, but I have the same pair and love them! I have had numerous speaker sets over the years and these are the best as far as a set of 2 speakers go. Everyone has their opinion, just figured I should help the guy out with some postive remarks.

The BOSE system in my Infiniti is nice

I really like Altec Lansing. I notice Dell rebadges them, might be a good set to buy a refurb on.

Before anyone else wastes a hundred bucks on this recommendation do a google on bose and you'll see why bose blows. Just a couple of key points...absolutely no specs on any of there systems, hmm I wonder why? There 5.1 systems use a "bass module" so pathetic they can't go low enough to even call it a subwoofer! Haha You may think it sounds great because your paying top dollar for a "high-end name" but thats because theres no highs, no lows, nothin but what appeals to your ears the most. Too bad your missing 50% of the music. But I gotta give props to Bose for that marketing....best in the business cause its got all of America fooled.

Yeah nothing like a subwoofer that goes to 80 Hz. You're missing two very important octaves of the musical spectrum.

Then again, us "golden ears" are all wrong and you really can't hear the difference. In fact, the built-in audio in the Dell laptop is just fine.

The Bose system in my NSX is terrible. Guess Infiniti specified a newer system.

There's a reason why BOSE doesn't list their frequency specs.
Check out any audiophile/home theater site and you will find that BOSE really does stand for---- Buy Other Sound Equipment.
