They will be first come first serve again. Yesterday evening Sager announced pricing for a UXGA LCD, but said they weren't sure when it would be available. They called today to confirm they would be getting them in within the next few days.

I ordered my 8890 on the 19th of sept and it hasent shipped yet, I actually called a few minutes ago to do some upgrades. Does this mean I will get the UXGA upgrade?

Oh man, oh man, oh man... this is sweet!!!

I've been planning on ordering an 8890 in the next week or so, but I've really been wanting one of these UXGA screens. That's the one small thing I've been wishing was available on this machine.

This is too cool !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Email the request ASAP and we will get you the UXGA. It will not automatically upgrade you to this screen UNLESS you let us know. The sooner the better.

Yes. The UXGA is an upgrade. We only have the limited amount and they are first come first serve.

To Anyone at PC Torque:


One other person asked this question, but didn't get an answer, so I'm going to ask it again :

Is this UXGA screen for the 8890 the new wide angle version, like the ones found on the new 5680's, or is it like the UXGA LCD's found on the older 8887's?
