Another 9300 Review! - Page 2

I'm not sure about battery life difference..

As for CPU speed, I don't think it is noticeable under normal operation. You may get a few more frames in high-end games, and video editing may take slightly faster. It all depends on what you use your lappy for.

Ram is extremely easy to install. You unscrew two screws from the bottom of your laptop and simply pop the RAM in. As of now, I can't tell any difference between Transcend and Dell default. I haven't had a chance to run memtest to check the RAM integrity yet.

Thx

How did you get the fatwallet discount? This would help me greatly...

EDIT: I signed up at fatwallet but how do I get the discount to apply?

Look for coupons on fatwallet. When you see a Dell deal, click on it. It'll show how much discount you'll get (usually coupon +3%). Proceed to Dell THROUGH THAT LINK. the FAQ (http://www.fatwallet.com/support/faqs.php#Cash_Back) is also useful.

Yeah....though sometimes, Dell releases $750 off that works with education discount =)

Nice review. The keyboard and touchpad look teeny on that laptop because of its size!

Well the problem was that there wasnt even a spot to enter the coupon. I might have been at the wrong place but went to the k-12 like you said. Had to pick what public school zone I belonged to then when I got to checkout I looked all over but no coupon enter spot.

Yes. It's fatwallet.com that gives the money to you. However, make sure you read fatwallet's FAQ on how to order- if you mess up and the website doesn't register you as ordering through them, fatwallet won't pay you.
^^if you do it correctly, will they send you a rebate? How do they do it? I dont have enough time to just read through the faq... sorry.
Yeah I was unable to stack 750 off coupon with the Education discount, because if you read it it says 750 off is only for Dell Home, while using a education discount is only for Dell University, whatever I just ordered my i9300 today and used the 750 off my laptop came to $1600
post #35 of 65
He said that they sometimes offer $750 coupons exclusively for education. (I asked the same thing because I was too lazy to read the whole thread )

Ohhh ok. I thought though that he got 6% + 3% + $750 off all together.

Gah...I did! Dell released an education coupon for $750 off awhile ago. This stacked with the education 6% and fatwallet 3%....
So your fatwallet discount DID show up in the dell cart?
Bah, Ive gotta read up on fatwallet tonight. I really need all the extra discounts I can get + the $750 coupon
post #40 of 65
^^Same. Dell offers the $750 off $1899. Why wont they just do $900 off $2199 or something like that
