So far it is looking very good. Automatically detected my 2200BG I was on the wireless immediately (after inputing my ESSID and key data). CD is looking good... not sure what to make of the new /dev/cdrom directory (weird... but interesting).

Didn't get the 1920x1200 monitor settings right out of the box... but easily tweaked.

Although the CDRW/DVD is seen, the suseplugger stuff never responds to it. To fix this you will need to uncomment the lines in:

/usr/share/hal/fdi/90defaultpolicy/storage-policy.fdi

Where you see a comment section stating:

<!-- temporary disable polling on SATA devices to avoid a kernel crash -->
<merge key="storage.media_check_enabled" type="bool">false</merge>

I went ahead and changed it from false to true and everything seems to be working. Of course the comment has me a bit worried, but I haven't seen a crash yet.

I somehow got rid of the /dev/cdrom directory issue... I think it was when I changed my /etc/sysconfig/hotplug HOTPLUG_DEV_ON_TMPFS="no" to "yes". Now I have a normal device and submount... and with the above change, suseplugger operates again when media is inserted.
