That isn't exactly "across the board" but it is definetly more than 1/2 the board
If I were choosing between AMD and Intel for a desktop it would be a no brainer, but read through all the articles before jumping.

I've seen a lot of frustration from a friend that has tried to overclock his Prescott (2 Prescotts), has had like 3 different mobos, different waterblocks, diferent watercooling setups, different memory, different PSUs, and different mods on all of the mobos to get some lame overclocks (Same results, with the different setups and mods) and a lot of heat out of it. He has spend so much money trying to overclock his Prescott that he could have bought an Nforce4 SLI mobo and a FX55 and overclock the crap out of it, and had a better system for half the money he spend on trying to OC an Intel. I forgot to mention he bought a Prometeia (Phase Change lately) and I bet he is going to get the same OC.
