Well, as a couple of you know, I ordered my Sentia 5/7/05. I got discouraged when it hadn't moved for two days as the first step seemed to be the easiest. However, yesterday, I checked my e-mail and found that Alienware had sent me a notice to call their billing department and confirm my payment information. That department was closed by the time I received the e-mail so I had to do it today. Anyway, they were actually very nice and helpful and it relieved me as so many have said they were incompetent and even at times rude. So I confirmed everything today, and now my baby is on phase 2. I'm praying to get passed 3 by Thursday. But they did give me the prospective date that the beautiful black box would grace my doorstep, and that date is 5/21/05!! Eight full days with my baby before I have to go to the Philippines. Its not as though I'm not taking her with me, but those eight days will be the ones I get to use her in comfort. On the subject of traveling, will that scanner thing at the airport do bad, dirty things to my fragile notebook? Any of you tried it first hand? I mean, I know that thousands of people take their laptops on planes and they're fine, but honestly, it can't hurt to be a little paranoid over something so precious.
