There was an article recently in the mobile magazine annoucing price vs performance increase ratio between upgrades.

1) Best value to price to % of increase in speed was RAM
2) was HD
3) was CPU

With that, I highly recommend going with 1.86Mhz CPU and 2GB Memory instead. This way you have room to upgrade CPU and see a signitifcation performance when they release 2.4Ghz CPU (which is really at cap speed of Dothan).

Just a thought.

i can always upgrade ram later, notice i only used 1stick, as for cpu 2.06 will last me fine, and i can upgrade that later to if i wish

80 GB Hard Drive (5400 RPM) not 7200 RPM you need space over speed?

if u look at the specs and benchmarks the SATA 80gb is just as fast as the 60gb 7200rpm PATA. In fact it is slightly faster and uses less power
post #10 of 19
I thought it was the 100GB that had almost comparable seek speeds...
hmm. so when ordering, which one is best? I thought that 60 gb 7200 is best option !!
