Anyone using ATI's drivers for their 5660 mobile radeon 9000's?
I ask this because I am becoming increasingly frustrated with my NWN (Neverwinter Nights) SOU campaign constantly crashing. Whenever I enter the first room (using the ring provided from the outset), I crash on the video cut scene -- EVERY TIME. Also, when I try do play certain modules, they will attempt to load then about 3/4 of the way though, it crashes (says it is using 100% CPU and then dies).
Also in some campaigns with kobolds, they are simply invisible. (I know they are sneaky little buggers, but SHEESH..)
I have been told this is most likely a driver issue. I've tried playing with my original Sager video drivers, as well as the latest drivers from Sager's website. I've also tried the s-seven ones (and actually they work the best -- no more blinking cursor), but still have the same crashes in the same places.
I thought about trying the ones from ATI's site, but wonder about how they will work with the Mobile Radeons. But at this point, I am so frustrated, I'll try most any drivers... anyone try to use them? Or some other alternative ones for the 5660 64MB Radeons?
Thanks!
Joe C.
