I don't know if I am allowed to point you to another forum, and, if I am not, my appologies, but, you should ask the guys over at the www.htpcnew.com or http://www.avsforum.com/ forums. They are the wizards at these kinds of things.
They have VGA to DVI-A (analog) cables. You need to check if your TV accepts DVI-D (digital) or DVI-I (digital + analog). If your TV accepts DVI-I, then you can use a VGA-to-DVI adapter or cable.
But the best thing to do in terms of image quality is to get a docking station for your Sony S270 (which has DVI output) and go straight DVI-to-DVI.
