Deleting information off old computer

Thread Starter
I thought I would have been getting my new Sager a lot soonerk, but due to some financial hiccups my plans were put on hold. Well things are falling in line now, so soon I should be able to order the notebook I've been waiting on. My problem is that I have a Dell Dimension L667R, that I would like to donate to chairty. But I need to know how to safely and reliably erase all my personal info from the old computer. I still have all the original software cds that came with the computer, so it can be restored if that matters. Thanks for your hlep guys.

If you do a restore it will format the drive then install the OS.

Unfortunately, the data can be recovered after the drive has been formatted. A disk erase/clean type of utility should be run on it several times.
