8890 and SXGA+

Does anyone here have the 8890 with the SXGA+ screen ??
Mine is supposed to be arriving today with the + screen.

Mine will in theory be here friday, sxga+ included, provided UPS is on time (they're a lot better about delivery here than they were a few years ago).

Incredibly fast turnaround time too, saw the thread yesterday about the upgrade, requested it, got my tracking early this morning (5:15 am)

I bought mine from Powernotebooks, and I didn't request SXGA+, the invoice says SXGA, but my sales rep (who I'd trust with my life) says it's SXGA+.

Never trust a salesman with your life or even your wallet when your back is turned

If they're drop shipping it from Sager they're going off "good faith" from what Sager says in telling you it's an SXGA+ as they probably never seen your laptop for themselves to check.

This sales rep helped me get $2375 for my 8887 instead of $1500 I kept getting offered.
Powernotebooks got the SXGA+ screens on Monday, next week they ship with UXGA.

I think you mean SAGER got SXGA+ LCDs on Monday, resellers don't stock LCDs and Sager doesn't reserve them for any resellers. -admin clearing that up
