Best AntiVirus Solution?

Hey guys, I'm looking to get an AntiVirus solution.

Anyone can make any recommendations?

I've always used Norton but ppl keep telling me how much it sucks, but I like Norton becuase of Auto Protect. Please share your views!

AVG is free and I have had no trouble with it in the year I've used it.

You know I've never really used virus scans because I think they clog up too much memory and resources, but last month I started using McAfee security center (virus+spam+spyware+firewall) and it actually has been working very well!

getting rid of windows would be a really good anti-virius solution

i use zone alarm security suite. plus i use firefox for web browsing. i think that combination using a security suite and firefox can give you a fighting chance against virus/malware. i dont think there is "the best" anti virus software that subjective. zonelabs have pissed me off with there 2.95 a minute phone tech support so with this new machine im building i may not go with them again and try someone else.

AVG and avast are both very good free anti virus's. Personally i think they are better than norton or mcaffe
