Dell vrs Omega

Thread Starter
Good morning team,

I would appreciate some advice re the Omega video drivers.

I plan on doing some gaming with my notebook and I read on the Omega website that his drivers are better then Dell's. He refers to the Dell drivers as 'default'.

Are the Omega drivers really that much better then Dell's?

Should I use them over Dell's.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Warmest regards,

Andrew

Most Gamers use the Omega driver for better game play and stability.

Also...

Also, Omega Drivers are tweaked and optimized to the point where you can set them to either "Quality", where the image quality is higher than the stock drivers but at about the same speed, or to "Performance", where the image quality is about the same as stock dirvers but is faster. Plus more options for tweaking yourself are available with the Omega Drivers. I would say go with these if you have an ATI card, but go with Xtreme G drivers for Nvidia. -JB

That sounds like a bad driver install did you fully remove the previous drivers before installing them?

I agree...

You should really download Driver Cleaner PE 1.1. Then, uninstall the display drivers, restart, run Driver Cleaner PE 1.1, and reinstall the Omegas. It should clear up any issues. Here is the link to the site for DCPE: http://www.drivercleaner.net/

albeit with a ~10-15oC increase in GPU temps...for me, at least. Weird.

Figure ~55oC with Dell, ~70oC with Omega. Why? Dunno.......
