Share your Hitachi 7k60 benchmarks

I'm becomming worried that I'm not getting the proper performance out of my Hitachi 7k60. So, here are the benchmarks from HDTach for mine:

Average read: 30.8MB/s
Random access: 15.4ms

Don't have HDTach, but I got 30mb/s with Sisoft Sandra, although it showed a much lower, 9ms, access time.

Tellerve

btw, When I set it to the lower accoustical level it actually benchmarked a hair better.

Thanks mich, I had thought that ~15 was kind of high, but I guess it's normal.

If you can get your hands on Disk Keeper I highly recommend it. Defrags your drive within a matter of minutes and it also can do it while your multi-tasking. Another benefit is that you can do automatic scheduling when you're idle or when it detects a high amount of defrag. Runs in the background takes about 1-2 MB and runs as a WinXP service.

Optimizes MBR and MFT as well. I've get fast boot times (~< 30 seconds)

Another good word for Diskkeeper, been using it since version 7 with WinME and it really makes the OS more robust weither it be ME or XP it speeds things up.
