Why is the X800 putting out better image quality then our 6800? I wouldx think that our 6800 would be able to produce the EXACT images if not BETTER images at the same frame rate!!

I want to be able to throw my friend a screen shot of my 9300 with the Fps to shut him up!!(He has a P4 2.6ghz with 1.5 gb ram, and ATI 9200 SE, and his computer plays HL amazingly great!!!)

as u wish

#1)
1920x1200
all maxed out + 16xAF + 6xAA by HL2

#2)
1920x1200
all maxed out + 16xAF + 8xAA by driver
(not playable, but best possible quality)

Wow, that is with EVERYTHING maxed out? I don't know . . . but the X800 seems to still look better then ours? The lines weren't as jagged on cylinder shaped objects. And the lighting was amazing. See, now would running HL2 or DoomIII at say 1600X1280 or something like that, but turning up AA and AF to the fullest make the image quality better?
Or was it just that part in the game that didn't require much gpu but still looked amazing!(in the x800 pic)
