Got my 5660!

My Midnight Blue 5660 arrived at my doorstop this afternoon! Woo Hoo!

Still am installing stuff on it and also seeing what all it can do, but so far, I really like it.

The Midnight Blue is very nice. The color goes well with the silver scroll buttons and the front mounted CD player controls. It almost has a metallic hue to it. I know there are people here who want to see pictures of the case, and I will do my best to accomodate. Will either try and get out my ancient digital camera or take photos of it with a regular camera and scan them in later (reminder to self, install scanner software after I get done with this post..). Suffice it to say the folks at ColorWare did an outstanding job.

The screen is excellent. Right now running in the native UXGA resolution and while the letters appear small, they are very clear and easy to read. No dead pixels that I can see right now, anyway.

Keyboard is nice, has a good tactile feel, good travel, etc., but still is going to take some getting used to -- have been used to a desktop for so long, some period of adjustment is not unexpected.

Since I had the OS (WIN XP) pre-installed, the computer was basically ready to go out of the box. Had to configure the internet connections with my ISP, but otherwise it was ready to run when I got it plugged in. Touchpad is NICE. Much better than the little eraserhead thingie my sister has with her notebook, IMHO. Still, I will attempt to install an optical mouse later on tonight for gaming purposes.

Well, that is about it for now -- kudos for Adam for keeping me posted on the painting process/shipping info. Am a very satisfied customer. And like I said will attempt to post pictures (er, when someone tells me how to do so on here, that is).

Right now, dinner awaits tho.

Anyway, it's great to be in the Sager/PC Torque family.
