does it matter if you voided your warranty( like an AS5 applacation ) and you still want to upgrade? (btw any word yet on a mobo upgrade price tag?)

one more thing: if i bought an alienware ware could i still send it to u guys to upgrade or do i have to wait the standard +2 months and double price tag for it?

I don't see it Luke, are you updating the site at this moment?

Luke can you comment on the following questions that I and I'm sure many others are anxious to hear about?

1. Any information on the overclockability of this Ultra card? Hopefully there isn't a bios lock like the Ultra in the XPS2.

2. Is the 670 CPU available as an option yet?

3. I'm assuming the WUXGA Samsung screen is non-glossy. But please tell me this isn't the same one used on the Dell 9200 or other Dell models that are plagued with sparkles, light leakages, etc....

4. Last but not least, is the power supply going to compete with my car battery for size and weight honors?

Thanks.

1. Working on getting some info on OCing the Ultra now.
2. Nope, Still Waiting for the to bring those into MP I beleive.
3. This is not the same screen as dell I am told. I am waiting to get a sample of the WUXGA now so I can see it for myself.
4. Ehhh.... It looks bigger...

Well, it would also allow you to upgrade to the Mobility X800 XT later (I assume) ... and more, as I'm pretty sure newer graphics cards would have the same power requirements or higher.

Luke, my question is about the non-Sager upgrade (for me it would be a heck of a lot better than 5 fps).

1) What notebook models are supported? Can an Area-51m (766) be upgraded?

2) Is the MB just swapped out and the original CPU put back in or ... ?

3) Is the same battery used after the upgrade? I'm assuming it would be. And no, I'm not that concerned w/ battery life. If I were I would be looking at a Pentium-M system.

Thanks Luke!

Waited 2 months for this, so I'm placing an order right now.

And last question: any info on new HD options, like the Hitach 100 GB 7200 RPM drives?

Well, there's a 500 instant rebate right now ...
WHOA!!!! so there is no more of the glossy screen? is the wuxga that much better to replace the glossy screen to a mat screen?

wait, so that current price on pctorque is with a 500 discount?

how long will that last... see i have a problem. i cannot buy a laptop until mid june, however i must get it by june 30th. is there anyway i can reserve one from pctorque now, and buy it like june 15th?

also, is it noiser than the 9860? less battery life? i assume its louder and less battery, but maybe the new mobo completely counteracts the increased heat and power need from the ultra....

ok, so the new tv tuner is over twice the cost of the old one... why? whats so special and different about it now?
I don't think I could justify spending the $800 on the upgrade to the 6800go Ultra. Hell you could go SLI with dual 6800GT's for about $800, that sounds more reasonable.

BTW does anyone know if it will be an underclocked version of the 6800go Ultra? I have a feeling that it might be slightly underclocked because of high heat....

Couple of questions for Our Man Luke

1) For how long will the rebate be valid?
2) Can a less expensive video option be purchased? I could care less for Ultra or other such nonsense.
3) When we some one have first hand (eyes?) experience with the new screen?
The only thing I'm worried about is the WUXGA Samsung screen.

Will the WSXGA glossy screen be provided as an option in case Sager went Dell on us and tried to blind us with the sparkly screens?
