My 9300 is okay, but would be better if... it would have a 2ghz cpu (not available in belgium, gotta jump from 1.86 to 2.13) and a 6800ULTRA. otherwise, I love it!

Screen is subpar. Otherwise 9300 is excellent

I'm very satisfied with my 9300 but it would still be better if:
  • The screen was more perfect and brighter like a Sony.
  • It wasn't quite as deep.
  • Had RAID 0 option and used SATA drives.
  • Better battery life.

I am satisfied overall with my 9300. It would be pefect if the screen was perfect. Mine has light leakage coming mainly from the bottom. There is also a small dark area near the PM on the taskber clock. It looks like a shadow on the light colored screens. These are not problems that would cause me to want to return it, or to have it replaced.

Hitachi 7.2K rpm 60GB HDD....

Well, other than System Mechanic's defrag util telling me this HDD has a "physical corruption" that can't seem to be resolved by running Chkdsk, mine is just great....I was fine w/ the clicking noises, but am a little less than happy w/ this situation.

I like the XPS2 but have to return it because of the poor display. Will get the Gateway m680 instead.

My 9300 is okay, but would be better if... it was silent during normal operation (not playing games etc.) I think that the noise level is above normal for a centrino notebook. And yes, I know about FanGUI, but I don't think this is really a proper solution. I have two other centrino laptops (HP Compaq nx7010 and Dell Inspiron 2200), and both are completely silent during light-to-moderate use (web browsing, office, avi playback etc)
