Everybody is always asking how to get a deal on Dells? So, how do you know if you got a good deal? How about listing all previous Dell deals/coupons?

As a newbie, the best (for me) that I've read about was the $750 off coupon on a $1499+ system. (for a cheapie system.)

So the $750 off coupon on a $1999 system isn't the best.

The Home standard weekly coupons have been:

$800 off a $1999+
$600 off a $1599+
$500 off a $1399+

$800 off a $1999+
$600 off a $1699+
$400 off a $1299+

$750 off a $1999+
$500 off a $1599+
$400 off a $1399+

$750 off a $1999+
$600 off a $1699+
$500 off a $1399+

35% off a $1499+
30% off a $999+

$500 off a $1499+

$600 off a $1599+
$500 off a $1399+

25% off a $1249+

$500 off a $1499+

There some E-Values that are pretty good, (to be added)

What other discounts?

1. Free shipping (worth $89.00)
2. Free ram upgrade to 512mb.

If your a student at a college or about to be one (me) then the Academic pricing can be an excellent deal. I managed to get a 20% discount overtop of a 12% discount (with 3 or 4 year servic eplans, which are good ideas anyway)

check it out.

$5000 off $5500+ was the best i've seen.

haha, you wish!

The best one I've seen for a more expensive laptop was the 33% e-mailed coupon combined with the 12% EPP discount. Apparantly a lot of other people thought that because that coupon expired in 48 minutes.

No, the 5k off of 5.5k was a real deal. (big bucks)

Yeah, that was pretty sweet. Too bad I didn't win it.

Best deals I've seen were the ones stackable with the 750. So you could get the 750 - 10% for using Dell CC - 35 big bucks (which everyone got with the catalog) about a month ago. Getting a decent laptop for ~650 shipped

Whats the cc coupon?

I got a sweet deal by calling a rep, lol. I got a $2300 system for 1768 (1950 dollar system for 1380 :-D).

IMHO the best deals remain $750 off $1499. The sweat spot of course was to hit as close to $1499 as possible so you can maximize the 50% off.

The first $750 off $1499 was last November, being the first one DELL had less experience with it. It offered concurrently free upgrade to 512 MB memory and $99 mail-in rebate for shipping.

The second I believe was this March. It stacked with $30 big bucks which most of us had.

These days DELL tend to lock config and charge handling fee on the $750 off $1499 deal so it is not as hot.

Best deals are the $750 off $1499 notebooks. I just bought a 700m with that deal last week, it was too good to pass up!

Also, way back when the i9100 was first introduced, we got some damn good deals then. My configuration was about $1900 but I got it for $1350. Even though I had to wait for a month while they had their "engineering hold", it was worth it.

I've been reading threads here at Notebook Forums for awhile and seeing a lot about the $750 off EPP coupon. Isn't that a small business discount? How can I qualify for that discount?
