If you want a garauntee then I say no.
It should though.
But you will need to take of the parts of your OEM drive and install them on the new drive. Usually -maybe 75% of the time-the holes on both drives will match where the support brackets and adapter plug in the back screw on--Sometimes holes don't match for brackets and you must drill a whole, or on rare occasion the internals are located differently and drilling the hole to match your old bracket would put a whole in something important. Just use epoxy in that case.
The big issue is the bezel. Not a big deal because we are talking about cosmetics. If your original drive is from a different manufacture you will not be able to swap the bezel. The bezel on the NEC might even need trimming, nothing a dremel can't fix real quick. If aesthetics are important and you don't want a mismatch in the countour of the machine then keep looking and do more homework as I do not have that info on how this will look in that machine.
What I will say this is a good machine at a great price, and there are many custom authored firmware to remove riplock, also region free, and if you do your own video there is now custom firmware for bit setting which makes this drive very attractive.
Have you looke at the Dell parts house online to see what they recommend. That might surprise you as many a time they are very competitive and sometimes even have the best online price, plus you won't have to worry about holes or bezel matching?
