Alright, the computer has been great since February and I've done many clean installs with no problems until now. The computer came with Windows XP Home, but I clean installed with XP Pro. The problems comes in when I install the laster Omega Drivers for the ATI Mobility 9000 IGP, it installed fine... like always. Upon restarting though, I get 0x0000007F error on boot and the notebook continues to reboot over and over again giving this same error, only after I install the Omega Drivers. So I thought it might have been the drivers after a few failing attempts. XP seemed to run fine without the ATI drivers installed, but the display is obviously not anywhere NEAR acceptable. So I figured I would try and just do a good ole' Toshiba Restore using the included disk. Now a few minutes into the restore the computer just powers down. This kept happening so I gave it a few minutes then tried again, and I'm currently 19 minutes into the restore... it seems to be going unusually slow but it may just be me, says about 24 minutes remaining. I thought it may just be the drivers, although they worked fine all these months, but I think there now may be a physical problem. I'm going to see how it goes if it makes it through the entire restore. On a side note, I did run the Toshiba Diagnostics while in safe mode right after I installed the Omega Drivers and the damn ATI passed, I'm not sure though if this is valid given I was running in safe mode. Any help/comments would be appreciated as this is my first notebook and I'm not really sure what the hell I'm going to do! Thanks! By the way the model is a Toshiba A75-S231. Help!?

Overheating problem, or no? Not sure.
Well, some good news... the restore went through without a hitch and everything worked perfect. Of course being a perfectionist and stupid at the same time I decided to do a clean install with XP Pro, again... but instead this time I installed the ATI Drivers that were on the recovery cd and still no problem... which leads me to my next question. Did something recently in the Omega Drivers that could cause my computer to basically not like them? Without the Omega Drivers and just running stock drivers, everything is working perfect. Anyone comment?
