Don't listen to the haters. They're just jealous you have a sexy little Sony.

Come on people. Let's keep the hurtful comment to yourselves. Please.

The Sony TR seems to be one notebook that leaves specific impressions on people for some unforseen reason.

I bought my wife a TR3 and it is an excellent, quality ultraportable. I have a T250 myslef, and it, too, is an excellent computer.

I also have a Dell Inspiron 9200, and IMHO, the TR3 looks better than the Dell, but they are different machines intended for different uses.

One thing that seems to be the topic of some controvesy regarding the TR's is the built-in vid cam. I for one, think it is pretty cool.

Thanks for posting those pics of your TR5. It's a cool little computer. Sony stuff is cool.

its the keyboard which makes it look a bit 'fake', but that could also be because its the japanese version (maybe they have a different keyset or something). Take the big vaio labels off (leave the intel/xp lables) and you have a very nice, maybe even apple-esque ( :O ) laptop. The grey part above the screen w/ camera looks great too.

i mean to be honest this thing is really ugly

Dells are ugly -- Cheap, bulky plastic cases.

"Dude, you just got yourself a dud!"

I also have a TR3/SP Japanese model, and I love this thing. I had Dells, IBMs, HPs, Compaqs, Toshibas, but nothing beats the Sony quality. I think people are jealous because this thing is very small, pretty, and unique, and twice of what a Dell costs, or more...

ugliest thing i have ever seen.
