has anyone tried the gigabit?

the 5680 offers a 10/100/1000 rj45 nic doesn't it?
so my question is has anyone with a gigabit infrastructure been able to test it out? haven't seen any reviews where its even mentioned.
i haven't been able to use the new gigabit stuff yet so im anxious to see what kind of real world performance it offers...especially on the sager

Soon my friend, soon.
One of my clients has a bigG network.
We were talking about doing some upgrades but he was not sure how much network congestion there was. I jokingly told him oh, I just hook up my new laptop and run a sniffer to find out.
He nearly fell off his chair .

I will have some results next week.

I am also looking to replace my old (ancient?) 10BaseT/2 network hubs with some of the new D-Link 10/100/1000 ones. Only problem is the 8890 will be the only thing talking at Gbit speeds - kinda lonely out there at the bleeding edge.
