Hey spax, what's the CAS Latency of your RAM on the Chembook, I can't find it anywhere on the discountlaptops site.

CAS Latency for all DDR2 ram are the same at this time. I believe they are all 4-4-4-4

Look at the Z71V support thread, there is a link to DDR2 discussion, it is specified in there. Confirmed by Intel too.

dont know, never installed 3dmarks, but i played CS: Source max graphics and max res and it ran flawlessly and so did SH3, and rise of nations. Those r the 3 games i have on there now. I have the gpu o/c to 300/500 and its using the latest nvidia drivers

Spax, when you say max settings on Source, is that including AA and AF? If so, what fps are you getting? (Type "cl_showfps 1" in the console to find out.)

sorry to drag this thread back up.... but....

what's the 2nd battery like? Is it hot-swappable? (IE, can you put it in while the laptop's running? How much extra battery life do you get?

u can hot swap batteries but not driver, i get about 1 extras hour

2. had a buyer
3.Never liked the looks of the laptops lid
4.GPU could have been better
