Problems again and again....

I have just recieved my 8790 back from RMA yesterday for artifacting. The first RMA I sent it in for artifacting, got it back and it still had artifacting, got an RMA that same day and sent it back again. I got it back yesterday and NO ARTIFACTING!!! WOOHOO!!!!!...... except now the computer shuts off after 20 minutes of playing any game... BUMMER!!!.

I am pretty much fed up I need this laptop for school because the university I go to requires a laptop and considering I am a Computer Science major... it is definitly important for me. Since I have been without this laptop for a whole semester and have been forced to use the computer labs for all my programming assignments I am pretty sick of sending it back for RMA.

My question is who do I talk to about a refund, Sager or PCTorque. When my Sager worked i loved it, but now it hardly works and I can't afford to spend 3000 dollars on a computer that only works sometimes. I NEED A LAPTOP THAT WORKS or else it becomes very inconvienient for me to do my schoolwork in the labs and to relax playing games, which I am not capable of doing in the labs. This computer has had several chances to be fixed, it hasn't been and I see no reason that it could be, so I want my money back, at least most of it since I can understand that I have used it for about 6 months I could consider it like a rental and take some fee of the top. So please if anyone has gotten a refund let me know how and who you had to contact so i can speed up the process for myself

Only a few people (2) managed to get refunds or exchanges. Most of us are stuck with the machine. I never do beta testing for companies as part of my personal policy, and I never expected the 8790 to be a beta test product for Sager considering that it is essentially an 8890 with better hardware. But that is what it is, and it seems that Sager managed to lock down many of our problems with the 9860 (which has its own serious issues). My suggestion is to either (somehow) convince Sager to give you your money back/trade it in for another model, or to sell it off when you get it back and use that $1500 or so to get another machine from someone else.
