Okay- I want to know about installing RAM

what do you do to install a 2nd stick of RAM, NOT replacing the original stick, can yall tell me all the steps, for you who have done it. It's going in my IBM R50 and of course, the parents who bought me the laptop for graduation are very linenient to do anything to the laptop and I want to know EXACTLY what you have to do to install a Kingston peice of RAM.

Download the appropriate manual for your R50's exact model number (on the bottom of the laptop). It will tell you everything you need to know about upgrading the RAM.

It's extraordinarily easy. Line up slot (only fits one way), insert at angle, lightly push in at a 45 degree angle until it sets in place, then push downward till it clicks into place.

think there are movie-guides found on IBM's site somewhere, sorry domt have the time to dig one up, it might not be the exact same model as yours but wathing it might make U more confident on how it's done..and yeah, agree not all that hard at all...
