I ordered my XPS2 on the 11th with the 7k80 drive. It's supposed to be shipped on the 26th but hasn't reached kitting. I've chatted with customer care as well as spoken to them over the phone, but they just keep telling me to hold tight and complain if it is late. I guess I haven't gotten lucky enough to speak with a person who throws around upgrades and concessions.

Same here...I ordered the 100gb on 5/11, still in pre-production, or at least i think it is, its greyed out. estimated ship date 5/26. I emailed them, they upgraded my order to next day, and gave me a $35. I should get it on friday. I just hope it gets here in time.

Well after checking in on the web to check the status of my order, I decided to call the order status line (1-800-433-9014). Turns out this is an automated voice prompt system for checking your order status (Have order number in hand). After following prompts, I found that my system is in the "Build Stage", beats the web's "Pre-Production Stage"

This is good news for the people that ordered the 100Gig Drive.

Yup, that's what I did too, called them and it's in the build stage. Hmm...now I wonder how long that will take?

Mine is still "InProduction" with an 80 GB drive. I ordered on 5/11/05 as well. When I called the order status number, it said my order didn't even exist.

Definately not a good sign.
