this thread is getting ridiculous. this is a NOTEBOOK FORUM - so why were we talking about MP3 players or MP3 download websites in the first place?!?!?!?!

umm you weren't even asking about hardware to begin with. you were asking about sites to download mp3's. try this

each song is encoded for you, to your specs. I must say i love the service, and apparently it is legal (its based in russia)

192kBps songs go for like 7cents each... i love it.

just b/c it's based in russia and is "legal" per se in russia, does not make it legal anywhere else...the music industry here in the u.s. doesn't think it's legal and that is what is going to matter in the long run if you are in the u.s. it is acknowledged that the downloader's home nation laws do not guarantee legality just because it is "legal" in russia.

8. i hope you aren't taking any of this seriously...it seems that you are...and "jda" is correct...internet arguments are like my former neighbors who were both deaf. When they started to argue and one had enough, he/she would turn around so he/she couldn't see what the other was signing.

I bought an iPod a while back and found that the sound quality was lacking so I returned it. Got a DJ for one of my birthdays and loved the sound quality. The bottom line is if you are happy with it then to each his/her own. (And in the ORIGINAL POST, where did he ask "dude omg i think my DJ sucks, I WANT an IPOD, should I. Because damn I sure didn't see it.)

Also, I use MSN Music with WMP10. I know its not too fancy and has a small library as of now for MSN but it works. The cool thing though is that MSN has plugins for MusicMatch, Napster and a bunch of others so I can use my MM, MSN, and Napster bought music in one player and manage all my accounts through WMP10. I tried iTunes once but, I didn't like it either. But I do have to admit I didn't try it very long.

If you are already using WMP10, why not give that a try? And check out the plugins that come with the new one, it may just be the thing you are looking for!

pooof, 3.89 just shows you are a loser, too. I just graduated with 4.0, from kindercare, but i'm hoping that i can sustain my gpa through elementary, jr, sr, and college...

average=some sort of disadvantage in multimedia; otherwise you'd think it as better than average, thus implying "disadvantage" in multimedia

didn't dell offer 1 month free napster to go with the purchase of dell DJ?

the one thing i dislike about napster is that you have to pay a monthly fee. If you want to burn the song to disc or keep the song after your subscription ends or you cancel your subscription, you still have to pay 99cents per song or pay roughly the same cost for an album as if you were to go through amazon or something to buy the album. if you have multiple computers and want to synch among them, you cannot do it with napster..you have to set up the downloads on each of your computers.

I quit reading after a few posts so forgive me if someone already said this, but how about using the totaly free winmx. Download the program, configure it and there ya go. It seems to be very safe, unlike kazza or limewire.

multimedia=more than gaming. multimedia includes video, music, internet, and photos...all of which the 700m is more than capable. gaming it is not the strongest. However, as multimedia capable as a whole, it is better than average and perfect for those who need it to do those things.

As much as this pains me to say, I have to agree with laffingbilly on this one. The 700m is very capable. I use PowerProducer (By Cyberlink) to edit video and create DVDs, photoshop runs great and all the Multimedia stuff works great on the 700m. BTW the MSN purchased music can be ported directly into PowerProducer with no problems as long as the computer you are working on is authorized for the music!

I also have never tried the Monthly Fee type of music services. My parents Use XM radio and I really don't like it, I prefer to buy stuff I know I like. Thats why I mostly buy CDs yet I never listen to Cds, lol. I am also kind of a moody person so I like being able to make play lists of stuff, but I think you can still do that with Napster.
