So I just got a Lenovo Yoga 13. This is my review.
As what I primarily do is writing and programming, having a good keyboard is critical for me, which is why a tablet alone can’t work for me, and...
I have owned dozens of laptops in a variety of brands, and had many different laptops provided for my use at work. Without question, this is the finest I have owned. The Alienware M17x R2 is a...
Lenovo Thinkpad W530 Review

One of the longest and most enduring brands in computers is Thinkpad. Originally developed by IBM in the USA, Thinkpad notebook computers are now...
I find it interesting that it costs 19.95. Dell used to recommend a mild acidic solution to clean LCDs. What you do NOT want to use is Alcohol or Ammonia. What I have found that works very well is to use Windex multi-surface (Vinegar - mild acidic) spray it on a Viva paper towel and wipe the surface carefully. If done right it will not streak or scratch the surface of either a monitor or laptop screen. I'm sure this will appeal the purist out there but I have been doing this for the last several years on all my laptops and monitor screens and they all look beautiful. I work in a computer lab and have a great variety of screens and I have never had a problem. However, user results my vary so try at your own risk. BTW-whatever you do do not spray anything directly on the screen.
I actually just bought the Monster cable cleaning kit. It is AWESOME. Cleans fast and spotlessly. It's expensive and I'm sure there are others that work just as good, but just it really does work very well. I would definalty reccomend it.
Edit: I got my kit at CompUSA for $15...it's the travel kit but I prefer a smaller bottle. My cousin just used it on his LG 19" desktop LCD monitor and was very impressed compared to other cleaning solutions. It cleanes very fast and very well.
I also have the Monster Screen Clean kit. Like Radiation said, it's AWESOME. They give you a nice, large microfibre cloth and enough of the solution to last several years, for me at least. It's a reasonable $15-20 purchase to make in order to keep these screens looking their best. We paid for UXGA, might as well get the most out of it!
Anybody tried anything called Zeiss Lens Cloths? They come in individual packets (look like those little moist towellettes you'd get at a BBQ joint for cleaning your hands); ammonia-free. I used these on my old CRT, haven't tried yet on my i9300 lcd panel.
That stuff is awesome. I read about it in another thread and scored some at a local Best Buy (Canadian version). GREAT stuff. I've used it on my 9300 screen, my LCD at work, my Axim and a very worn old Dell Trinitron 21" and my Blackberry. Excellent results all around. Makes all screens look brand new.
