**Is there such thing as a FREE laptop?**

I got an e-mail that was offering me a free laptop (I didn't qualify for it though because I live in Canada, not the US). Is it a scam, or is it legitimate? I'm guessing there may be some shipping fees obviously, but other than that would it really be free? Do any of you know of Canadian offers for a free laptop? Thanks!

it probably is like one of those "free ipod" deals...i wouldn't trust it nor give out my information in hopes of getting a "free laptop"...

not worth the hassle and you'll probably end up getting spam in your email box every second because of it....(if you dont already)

It isn't really a scam, because sometimes they do send the items out, but it's on the line. You have to give out your information for all of them, some of them require you to get other people to buy a product after you do, and some of them require you to buy multiple products. The sites that do this get their money from advertising so it does sometimes happen, but I don't think that it's worth it for the hassle.

the only *free* laptop is the one that your parents or grandparents get you for your birthday or special occasion. Otherwise, it is most likely a scam. Nothing is ever free.....except condoms.
