I ordered a 9300 on saturday. Order went into production today. Estimated ship date is on or before may 26th. Im hoping It ships out sooner.

What is It likefor you guys? Did your orders ship before estimated date? If so how much earlier?

that is the lastest your order will ship. I got mine about a week before my ship date.

I got mine 6 days after ordering which happened to be 2 days before the estimated ship date. It always depends on different factors. Most arrive before the estimated ship date but you can't always be sure.

5-7 days after your order date is probably an accurate estimate for actual shipping

Ordered mine on the 3rd, was done building the 4th, came out of boxing the 6th and ended up being delivered the 10th. Estimated shipping date was the 12th.

Okay, how bout this one. I orderd my I6000d on May 11th. The estimated ship date is the 19th. However, it is still in the InProduction phase according to the website. What's more it hasn't even entered the Kitting portion of the InProduction phase. Can I really assume this machine is going to rocket through all of the various phases of InProduction in the next two days and ship the day after tomorrow? Should I call or just leave well enough alone? I'm dying to get my hands on this machine!

I have my doubts, to be honest. If all goes well, kitting, building and testing should take about 1 day. Boxing actually involves putting the laptop in a box and flying it from Dell's Malaysian plant to Nashville, from where it is dispatched to your local carier and then delivered to you. Generally boxing takes 2-3 days.

I'd recommend trying to get hold of a Dell customer service rep, possibly via the online chat function on Dell's site. They tend to be able to see the status of your system more detailedly than you can with your order tracking, and might shed some light on how the thing is progressing.

Thanks for the advice. I'll give it a try if I don't see any movement online by tomorrow morning.

Placed my order on the 11th of May. Possible ship date on May 26th. Checked status and is still in pre-production. I ordered XPS Gen 2 with 100 GIG 7.2K Drive, so this may delay when I get it.

Im pissed off, I ordered the 14th, 16th and no confirmation email. I call em up. They tell me my order was not processed because accidental care is not available in my state. This wasted 2 days of time because no one on their end bothered to call me. It just started production today. Any chance I see my new laptop by the end of this week or begining of next week? Do they deliver saturdays?

If it goes with the same speed as I did (I am guessing they pulled a cancelled order off the shelves for mine, as everything was done within the day and I have a fairly common config), it could go into boxing tomorrow (provided you are lucky I guess). As mentioned, this will include transit to the US and normally takes 2-3 days. It's then dispatched to the local courier. Since Dell seems to use UPS for the large majority of the orders, your laptop will come out of boxing towards the end of the week at the earliest and UPS doesn't deliver during weekends, you are looking at a delivery early next week if all goes smoothy, I think.

I hope you are right

So the NextDay delivery doesn't apply to the boxing stage, only to the actual delivery once it's in the U.S.?

I didn't realize that they didn't use UPS until it got to the U.S.

I thought they gave it to UPS from the factory site.
