I have a XPS Gen 1 here and the adapter fits in the back of the 9300 can I use this will it hurt it? Soory not really familiar with power adapters the XPS one I have says 150W thanks.

Go to Dell's site and look up the specs for your lost AC adapter and make sure the output voltage is basically equal (very important) and that output current or wattage is close or higher. If the jack fits you should be ok if those specs match.

The voltage is critical. It must be within 0.5v or so or you will be unhappy with the result, especially if it's too high.

Well I just had my friend overnight it to me $21.00 dollars compared to 2 tanks of gas going up to get it and coming back @ $2.32 a gallon. He said they told him I would have it by noon tomorrow.

Smart. That gas will kill your wallet.

If he lives only 5 hours away you could have shipped standard and it still would have come in a day or two plus you could have saved like 15 bucks...

The XPS power supply will work fine and harm nothing, your notebook has adaptive circuitry.

Good question, considering many of my posts. But no, as operman stated, I'm not being sarcastic in this case.

Please don't complain about your $2.32 my friend. I live in southern california and paid $2.78 this morning for 87 octane. I felt violated.

$2.57 here in corona CA for 87, gas prices sure suck, sure am glad my dad pays for it hehehe. I mainly only drive to school though so he pays for my school expense. And I do think that sending it over-night was a waste of money.

I live in the UK and drive a BMW with a 70 litre tank. It costs me around $105 to fill the tank and that gets me 350 miles.
