I just ordered a DV4000 from HP, when i talked to the sales rep he said he would toss in a student assy. kit (usb travel mouse,hp laptop back pack,& kessington lock) a $99.00 value for free, I even double checked & said "for free?" "Yes, for free" he said. Well I got my credit card bill & was charged for it! I called HP & they said "due to the fact we cannot verify that he said that, we cannot honor it" I told him the reps name, the time & date we talked but to no avail. I told them that I had been looking @ other brands & that was the clincher to the deal & I think that's a rather underhanded way of doing buisness. He said that they would meet in the middle & do it for 1/2 price. Which is still a good deal but that is not the point. I sure hope our relationship gets better from here.
