How do you position your "desktop replacement"?

Thread Starter
So, unless I'm wrong to assume that the 9300 or XPS 2 is a desktop replacement for most of you, what's your setup like? I'm interested in a Kensington stand, but as I'll be in Germany for five months starting in July it wouldn't be very practical to bring a lot of extra equipment with me. But once I'm back, should I go for a stand and keyboard (I'll definitely be getting a mouse immediately)? Is the 9300/XPS 2 keyboard terribly dinky? And is it really a strain on the eyes and head to look down at the laptop rather than stand it up? My current monitor isn't really propped up, so I can't imagine that it would be terribly different.

Oh, and I suppose I should get wristguards to fasten at the front edge of the keyboard or something. Any higher risk of carpal tunnel as compared to a regular keyboard?

I got the Kensington Expansion dock with stand.
I ordered the Logitech Bluetooth diNovo keyboard/MX900.
Also ordered the Logitech MX1000.

So I will have a docking station none the less.

Next to my desktop

I use a rolled up towel in the back to give it a little angle.

I usually have mine on my belly. Nothing like lounging on the sofa and doing a bit of surfing.

Better on your belly than farther south, if you're a guy, right?

But on the other hand, some guys might really like that. Ew.

Don't worry, it is a 9300, if it was the 7700 then it looks like Hotdogs would be cooked
