If you read carefully it tell syou that it supports Radeon 8500
which probabaly only means that model

There is however the new R300 series which supports the9700 and the 9800

Given that DVI connectors are standard pinouts, the only reason it may not work is if the 9600 Pro can't produce the correct resolution (can't remember HDTV specs right now).

I'm trying this with my 8890 right now. I'm using the ATI DVI-Component dongle adapter. Problem is, In the ati drivers, under "displays", I don't have the YPbPr selection available. I tried installing both the newest omega drivers as well as the newest Catalyst drivers. Neither worked. Anyone manage to get this to work?

My instructions that came with the dongle says that it works with the 9600. I'm just not sure about the 9600 Mobility. I'm pretty sure it would work if I could only get into the YPbPr settings, but in the "displays" panel, the LCD panel is where the YPbPr should be.

Klaxis I know I have seen settings in an earlier driver version (7.95 or so). But as you say, the current control panel doesn't seem to have any settings unless the prog. detects whatever you have plugged up. I'm very interested in hearing what you find. I'll look into it also.
