Recovery cd not received, how to bring the computer back to the factory status?

I didnt get a recovery cd with my laptop, but I talked to a couple of dell reps and they sad that if I press ctrl and f11 at boot up i can get to a setting that restores the hard drive to exactly the way it came from the factory.

I tried this and didnt really work, so can anyone tell me if this is option is true, and if so how do i get it.

also, before reformatting the original xp installation, i tried lookin for things to burn on a cd like the dell pple said, but there was nothin

You musta done something wrong, all the drivers to download are in the dell site, if you enter your service tag it will bring up drivers for your lappy only.

Download those and save it to a cd i know cause i just did it.
Also its a f12 that boots the bios and other crap for you to restore your pc * search * its here and plenty of info on it let me know what else i can help with.
