Shuttle cases

Alright I didn't see any recent topics on shuttle pcs (I'm in a bit of a rush so please forgive me if I missed one), but I have a few questions. I'll be going off to college this year and I'm considering getting the Asus W3V for portability and gaming (with this generation of games at least) and then later, once it's unable to play new games acceptably, getting a shuttle pc as my gaming rig.

1-What are the best standalone shuttle pc cases (not sure what my budget will be when the time comes so maybe the best out of a couple price brackets)
2-Is ventilation a big problem with lower cost shuttle cases?
3-As with tower cases is it generally cheaper to just buy the parts individually and then assemble it, or is there a cheap shuttle-pc building company?

Thanks

1. Any of the newer P series, they offer the most space and options(PCIe).
2. Only if you cram alot of stuff in there. If you fill it up with 2 10K rpm drives in RAID plus a Gegorce 6800gt and a PCI card, you might run into problems. most people that I have seen with alot of stuff usually just Dremel a side window and cover it with mesh.
3. Yes, it is alot cheaper to build your own. Those P series cases are pretty expensive(300 to 400). if you want to build your own check out the Antec Aria, it is pretty cheap at around $100, I wouldnt know where to get the mobos though. The Antec Aria is a pretty popular case, it is well made.

Yeah I heard that FNW had the best (surprise) shuttle machines and glanced over their pricing page. Of course it's wayyyyy out of my budget. The case alone might be ok since it's supposed to be very unique and high performing...

Ok, I've been looking into this some more and have a few questions.

Cubensis - that p-series xpc looks nice, but can you buy the chasis/chasis with power supply alone? I've got the components (for the most part) and just need the case (and probably a smaller mobo). So far I've only found a European site that sells barebones models.

Knothead - I like the price of the Aria, but I didn't see a model with a pcie slot - only agp. Do you know of one? *crosses fingers*

Thanks

edit: Alright, found the specific name of the p-series case for gaming (Shuttle SN25P) which newegg sells for $300 with the power supply. Not too expensive.
