I used adaware, spybot, and spydoctor.

Weird thing is, i jalso just used the restore disks to return teh computer back to its factory state. Still, these damn messages are popping up about every 5 mintues.

How do i get rid of them????

are they messenger service messages?

if so, go into Run and type in "services.msc", and in the services list go to "Messenger" and bring it up and stop the service.

it really seems to be messaging service (Anaconda is right)..... any cheap (read: free) firewall will solve this Window$ issue. Use the original XP and you just can't surf the web so many of them appear. This is not spyware i think, although I don't trust _any_ restore CDs...

if it is something like that, firefox won't help anything, since it's not related to that.... that doesn't mean the advice about firefox is not good. It's _excellent_, as this describes my browser experience about IE and Firefox (applies to Window$ at some point)....

I want to break free
I want to break free
I want to break free from your lies
You're so self satisfied I don't need you
I've got to break free
God knows God knows I want to break free

I've fallen in love
I've fallen in love for the first time
And this time I know it's for real
I've fallen in love yeah
God knows God knows I've fallen in love

there was a Windows Update to take care of the external sites sending them IIRC.
