upgrade x300 64mb to x300 128mb

does anyone know how much a 128mb x300 costs from dell.?
can I get it somewhere else?

This is for a 6000d

No, you must get it from Dell as the form factor is proprietary. I am not sure how much it will cost as I don't think anyone has tried to upgrade yet (probably US$200+ from spare parts), however I would suggest the cost would far outweigh the performance boost, especially considering the 64MB x300 has next to no resale value. I recommend hanging out for a while, it has been whispered in my ear that the i6000d may recieve a new GPU option in the next few months which will easily beat the x300..... that would be a better application of funds if/ when it happens.

hopefully your rumor will also let us buy it as an upgrade for the 6000d systems already purchased if is so pleased the owners.

id be one of the first to attempt to upgrade to the newest gpu ...i just didnt wanna pay a whole lot for the 9300 and the 6800go or whatever....but i could handle an x700 or x800 or 6600go or 6800go or something in my lappy....then i shall laugh at all the 9300 people ...mmmmmm.....smaller laptop....equal performance.....cheaper price
dont get much better than that

do you know if this rumored GPU upgrade will be before or in early August? I'm dyin for a 6000D but the GPU is really hindering my decision! Need this puppy by Aug. 31 (in my hands, lol, not to be ordered by).
